We are making temporary changes to your water supply

Reservoirs, aqueducts, treatment works and a network of over 42,000 kilometres (around 26,000 miles) of water pipes help us to provide water to homes and business right across the North West region.

We work around the clock to make sure that you have high quality water for your morning shower or to enjoy a great brew, and to guarantee this we are constantly upgrading our water network, carrying out regular maintenance and inspections.

What work is taking place?

We’re currently carrying out some routine maintenance work to one of our large water mains that carries water to your home. The work is part of an upgrade to Winwick Water Treatment Works, helping us continue to provide you with safe, clean water and making sure water supplies up and down the North West are more resilient for years to come.

So that we can carry out the necessary work we need to make some temporary changes to the way we bring water to you.

What will the change mean?

For around 12 weeks, customers in the WA2, WA3, WA5 and WA12 areas usual water supply will be taken from other sources across our region. So, it will be a little different to what you’re used to. You may notice a slight change for a short while, but as soon as the work has finished we’ll return back to the usual water source.

Please be assured whilst the work takes place your water will continue to meet all the same high quality standards it always has, and you can carry on using the water as you normally would.
